We can take you to the playgrounds where the whales frolic and feed.

We can show you where bears go for their salmon dinner - the freshest salmon you ever saw!

And we can show you where eagles nest and raise their young.

At Waterfront Lodge Kake, you are far away from city noise and stress, and the world outside is available to you as you want it to be. The Lodge has wireless Internet, phones, and cable TV. We have in-room coffee, and microwaves, and laundry facilities at the lodge. And our meals are made from the best of what Southeast Alaska has to offer!

And you can't beat our view!

Where Is Kake?

Located in the heart of the Tongass National Forest, Kake, a traditional Tlingit village on the west side of Kupreanof Island, is today home to a number of cultures - Tsimshian, Haida, Yupik, as well as some Native cultures from the Lower 48.

The Tongass is the world's largest temperate rainforest, covering 17 million acres with glaciers, mountains, fjords and a flora and fauna most people have only experienced through movies and television.

Kake is located about 90 air miles south of Juneau, Alaska's capital, and 50 air miles east of Sitka. Kake, like most of the Tongass, can be reached only by air or boat.
